We got tired of tools that asked for our banking passwords, or weren't built for our banks in the first place. So we built one with a secure, read-only bank connection — and CSV import for any account it doesn't cover directly.
SUPPORTED BANKS
Hunch is independent. Institution names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to identify supported institutions. Don’t see your bank?
Every personal finance tool we tried either needed our banking password, or was built for one market with half-hearted support for others. The alternative — spreadsheets — worked, but took too long.
We built Hunch to do one thing well: tell you clearly where your money is going, every month. You connect your bank securely through Plaid, so Hunch never sees your banking password — just read-only access to your transactions. Your data is encrypted, isolated to your account, and never sold.
Beyond tracking, we kept hearing the same questions: Am I saving enough? When should I retire? What does my net worth look like in 10 years? So we built the retirement planner too — because those questions deserve real answers, not spreadsheet templates.
We’re a small team based in Victoria, BC, building in the open and shipping based on what real users tell us matters.
We’re reachable at hello@hunch.money. We read every message — including feedback, feature requests, and bug reports. If a bank you use isn’t supported yet, let us know. That’s how we prioritize the roadmap.
We're a small team building something we actually use ourselves. No detour through big-co finance.
Your data is encrypted and isolated to your account. AI features are always opt-in and explicit.
Hunch connects through Plaid with read-only access — we can see your transactions, never move your money.
