Export your history from YNAB and bring it into Hunch — categories and all.
Sign in to YNAB on the web and select the account (or All Accounts) you want to export.
Use Account > Export (or the account menu) to download your transactions as a CSV file.
Keep the downloaded file handy to upload into Hunch.
A CSV is just a spreadsheet of your transactions — typically one row per transaction with columns for date, description, amount, category, and account. You do not need to edit it. Hunch reads these columns automatically and shows you a preview before anything is imported, so you can confirm the mapping first.
In Hunch, go to Import and choose CSV. Drag in the file you exported.
Hunch auto-detects date, amount, description, and category. Adjust any column if needed, then preview the rows.
Import to bring in your history, then connect your bank via Plaid so new transactions flow in automatically.
YNAB exports your transaction register per account to CSV. Export each account you want to bring over, then import into Hunch.
Hunch reads the category field from the YNAB CSV and maps it during import, keeping most of your structure.
